The first World Rhinoplasty Day (WRD), organised by SORSSA (Society of Rhinoplasty Surgeons of South Africa) and lead by Dr Cameron McIntosh, was held on 20 November 2020.
This 24 hour meeting was held virtually due to the COVID pandemic safety restrictions. The event brought together 140 key experts from over 40 nations in the field of functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty to share ideas and experiences and to discuss novel trends.
The topics reflected the complexity of rhinoplasty, addressing multiple pre- and perioperative features that have a significant impact on the outcome of rhinoplasty results. A wide range of new or modified surgical techniques was discussed and demonstrated by use of illustrative videos.
This year, Dr. Chris Snijman will join his fellow colleagues in participating in the inaugural 2024 World Rhinoplasty Week (#WRW2024) and the second World Rhinoplasty Day (#WRD2024).
The world’s top speakers will be featured in a 24-hour pre-recorded webinar, with 72 countries participating. The best of the best surgeons will compete to be crowned champions of rhinoplasty education.
